Breeding Small Bassets Griffons from Vandee affixes Eus Bro Ar Gweskle
Native of Côtes-d'Armor, I always had the passion of hounds thanks to my grandfather and my uncles who passed on to me this one since my early childhood!!
Being in the region of the Perche (Orne) for reasons professionelles since 1994, it was necessary to me to find an auxiliary(aid) of hunting and company.
It is then that I had the "FLASH" for the small basset vendean griffon, rustic dog par excellence. I knew this race without possessing it however.
I thus acquired my first bitch, MAYAN of the Edges of the Handle, in 1996, at Mr and Mrs DOMALAIN André remaining LANGUEUX ( 22 ). Which happiness for the first one(night) in the race. I caught the virus and decided then to create my own amateur breeding in the contacts of diverse breeders of this race.
Because of the affection in my canton of origin, I chose the affix:
" Eus Bro Ar Gwesklen " who means " Of the Country of Du Guesclin "
I selected on the lineage of MAYAN and at present I possess 06 small bassets registered on the WINDWARD SIDE possessing my affix. They give me complete satisfaction.
For my part, I hunt(chase away) the quasi-totality without rifle so that dogs express themselves at best, exclusively on the way of the rabbit. In action(share) of hunting, if I had a quotation to be formulated to my faithful small bassets, it would be:

I work especially on the lineages hunting and character, without forgetting however the standard. It is true that to make of the voucher and the beautiful, it is hard, but we work on it to perpetuate the race!
The small basset vendean griffon is a lively dog, with an excellent character. A great hunter(fighter), while resisting and which(who) does not jib in the work. He(it) also excels at the hunting of the other games.
However, you should not forget that our small bassets make the happiness of numerous families thanks to its cheerful and soft character to the children. It is a perfect dog of company and a more surprising dog of agility!!
